Entrepreneurial paper based on answering two questions using provided notes and reading. As an attachment, there will be first draft as well as notes, references. The question is as follows:
1. Based on a report from a highly-priced management consultant, your corporate culture has been determined to not be conducive for entrepreneurship. Fortunately, you have been asked to provide your wisdom and leadership to make the culture more entrepreneurial. Describe the nature of an entrepreneurial culture and its components, and how it might fit your 200 employee education company. What three specific actions, direction, or investments will you do to make the culture more entrepreneurial? Why these things? How might these differ if you have a substantial versus limited budget to work with? What three barriers do you foresee in making the culture more entrepreneurial? Connect your arguments to specific types of cultures and how best practice from the course might act as an inspiration for your approach.
2. Every entrepreneurial firm needs talented people to be successful. Yet, finding and keeping good people is tremendously difficult. A) What three practices would you put into place to first attract and then retain top innovative minds (i.e. three practices each)? B) Focusing internally, what three practices and systems might you put in place to find and groom the best employees to work creatively, free them to do their best work, and compensate them to engage in innovative efforts? Be specific, connect to ideas such as employee motivation in each of the answers, and provide concrete examples and best practices from those companies profiled in live sessions or throughout asynch lectures and readings.
