Paper 2 – Introduction to Philosophy

A. Explain Platos argument for the nature of the soul (do not talk at all about the structure of the city as this prompt specifically does not ask about that analogy) and carefully and clearly present his account of the souls ascent up the divided line.
B. Explain Augustines famous claim, our hearts are restless until they rest in Thee. What is the restlessness and its source(s)? What obstacles confront the soul as it attempts to shed its restlessness?
C. Explain the problem of evil and carefully and clearly present Augustines argument in response to the problem.
