Reflection Journal – St. Augustine ‘Confessions’ & Nick Flynn ‘Another Bullshit Night in Suck City’

The goal of the paper is to write a reflection journal of the two memoirs. St. Augustine ‘Confessions’ (Book 2). And Nick Flynn’s ‘Another Bullshit Night in Suck City’.

One quotation from each of the readings with a discussion of its significance to the student, observations about the key themes addressed in the reading, questions or predictions, or connections to current events and issues. It should not summarize the readings, but should provide detailed, thoughtful responses unique to each readers experience of the text.

Also included by my instructor:
“These two pieces were selected to have us continue thinking about how we define memoir. Who writes it? Who’s it written for? What do they write about, or not? Why and how do they write it?”

Talk about them individually mostly, maybe in a short paragraph compare how they differ in your own reader’s experience.
